Whisper Phones

I was wondering if any parents have any PVC pipe pieces lying around?  I want to make whisper phones for the class.  They are a great tool to help the students who have a hard time using quiet whisper voices but they are also a great tool for the student that likes to read to him/herself during tests.  With MEAPs coming up it would be great to have this tool.
